Leading the Way for the Future of Transformational Experiences

Dance culture is such a big part of humanity. We have been dancing ever since we gathered around fires. It's one of the most universal forms of cultural expression and dancefloors are among the most loved, enjoyed and frequented places. Yet today's club, festival and nightlife culture is unhealthy: anxiety, loneliness and disconnection are at all-time highs. At the same time, we know that dance and shared experiences of celebration are vital for mental health, culture and community.

The mission

For the last few years Ace Collectiv has been passionately pioneering alcohol-free, inclusive experiences that weave together the best of club and Ecstatic Dance culture. We keep the medicine of club culture while redesigning the container so it supports embodiment, health, authentic connection and inclusivity. These spaces are lifelines which provide opportunities to gather, dance, move, celebrate, be together and connect. People meet new friends, find communities they have been searching for and feel seen in ways conventional events and club culture have not allowed.

The opportunity

We see a huge opportunity in the conscious-dance world and the wellness boom we are currently experiencing. Breathwork, yoga and sauna experiences have moved beyond the era of 'woo-woo' and are now mainstream. Sober, wellness and conscious dance spaces are finding their way into the mainstream too, becoming more commonplace and growing rapidly across Europe and around the world, alongside the rise of transformational festivals. Dancefloors influence and support community, culture and nervous systems.

This training is a way of supporting this future.

Frequently Asked Questions

Confidence & readiness

I’m worried I won’t be able to do it by the end of the training.

+

It’s our number one priority that by the end of this training every participant feels ready to design a dance journey and DJ live.

I’m fearful of being seen or putting myself out there.

+

You’re welcome to do this purely for your own enjoyment and growth until your confidence builds gradually through practice, community support and baby steps.

I’m worried about getting it wrong or causing harm. What if I’m not ready?

+

This training exists because harm often happens when people step into facilitation without support. We work considerately, conscientiously and ethically, with a strong emphasis on consent, responsibility and safety.

Money, time & pathway

I don’t have a big following or platform.

+

You don’t need one. We teach practical ‘behind-the-scenes’ methods and provide you with an application template to get gigs at festivals, retreats and local dances.

I’m scared of the time commitment.

+

You can do the programme in your own time if you wish. You have lifetime access plus the structure is intentionally spacious with just one live class per week.

If it genuinely feels like too much, you’re fully covered by our 14-Day Integrity Guarantee.

I’m not sure I can afford it right now.

+

We have a payment plan option.

We have a bursary application process that you’re welcome to apply for. Please note, we have limited places.

I’m not sure this is the right time for me.

+

We will be running the programme again and please explore the option of 1:1 mentoring which is designed to fit around your schedule.

Technicals & logistics

I don’t have the gear or equipment.

+

We provide a required equipment list you can order immediately at a discounted price

  • £399 for DJ Controller, DJ Headphones and carry case

All items can be returned within 30 days if you decide this path isn’t for you.

I’m already facilitating, will this still be useful?

+

Yes. Our intention is to help you launch as an Ecstatic Dance facilitator and DJ, so the training is focused around upskilling in these areas. Existing facilitation skills and experience will only amplify this, especially in areas like journey design and technical DJ skills.

I’m already DJing, will this be dynamic enough for me?

+

If you have already mastered the technical side of DJing, you can sign up for Part II which focuses on the facilitation / community leadership modules and includes 2 x Guest Coaching Calls, 1 x Mix Lab and the Student First Play.

Do I need to be an experienced DJ to join?

+

This mentorship is for people who feel called to facilitate dance spaces, whether you’re a new DJ, a dancer, a space holder or a music lover stepping into leadership. There are 4 sessions that cover DJ skills and techniques.

Is this a DJ or a Facilitator training?

+

If you’re only looking for track selection or mixing techniques, this likely isn’t the right training for you.

This training focuses on:

  • Dance journey creation
  • Embodiment and facilitation skills
  • Nervous system awareness
  • Holding space without performance
  • Community leadership

Is this training trauma-informed or therapeutic?

+

No. This isn’t therapy or trauma work and we don’t claim to heal anyone. What we DO teach is how to hold space through music, movement and presence:

  • Authentic space holding and embodied facilitation
  • Creating safer spaces using Ecstatic Dance guidelines and a safe(r) space agreement
  • Self-awareness, self-responsibility and integrity
  • Innerstanding nervous system dynamics
  • Clear boundaries and authentic movement

Do I need to be spiritual or have a specific belief system?

+

No. This is not about practicing spirituality. It’s about embodiment, authenticity and trusting your path.
